I. THE VALLEY
At the foothills of three magnificent mountain ranges — the Himalayan, the Karakoram, the Hindu Kush — lies the Kashmir Valley. A place where civilisations have always met. Where merchant travelers along the ancient Silk Road paused to rest, to eat, to remember where they came from.
The valley has known poets, mystics, kings, and farmers. It has fed them all. In its altitude, its rivers, and its four seasons, it developed a cuisine of extraordinary patience — built on the knowledge that the finest things cannot be rushed, only earned.
Kashmir is a crossroad. And at a crossroad, every journey either begins or remembers itself.

II. THE JOURNEY
The ancestors of our founder made that journey. From the heart of Arabia, across the rivers and plains of the subcontinent, into the memory of the valley itself. They were not merchants — they were travelers in the truest sense: people who moved not for trade alone but for understanding.
They returned carrying something more valuable than goods. They carried the stories, the flavours, and the hospitality of every place they had passed through. Warmth encountered. Generosity witnessed. Shared meals that were never forgotten.
Every dish at Cashmere Nights is a letter from that journey.

III. THE CARAVANSERAI
The caravanserai was more than a waystation on the Silk Road. It was a promise: that every traveler, regardless of origin, would find a fire to warm by, a meal to share, and people willing to sit with them in the evening.
No distinctions. No hierarchies. Only the table, and those gathered around it.
This is the spirit we carry in everything at Cashmere Nights. Not a philosophy we invented — one we inherited. Passed through generations. Kept warm.
IV. SINCE 1990
In 1990, that journey found a home in Jeddah.
What began as a gathering place — built on the rituals of welcome passed down through generations — has now fed three decades of families, celebrations, quiet dinners, and long evenings that no one wanted to end.
Our food is slow-crafted with care and gratitude. We honour nature's finest ingredients. We revive the timeless wisdom of mountain cuisine. And we keep alive the hospitality of travelers across distant lands.
